How many of you spend your waiting time in the express queue surreptitiously counting the other customers' items?Poppy9 wrote:If BOGOF items are counted as one or two items depends on your position in the queue.:p

Heard a story the other day about a woman who took three baskets to the 'one basket only' till, and used the 'next customer' thingies between each basket load.0

At Christmas saw someone "plant" their kid with a basket in an ordinary non-express, but v.long, queue...while he went and filled his trolley. When he'd finished kid was nearly ready to be served and Dada joined him and in doing so jumped the queue of trolleys. He got a load of dirty looks but nobody actually said anything to him!
Oh and as for looking in people's baskets that is really good fun...you can tell so much about a person, eg if single or not (useful if it's a hunky man), if they enjoy cooking, if they have pets...and I've started trying to figure out if people are MSE bods. Not that I am nosey or anything like that....0 -
This happened me once .. I noticed the lady in front had put her trolley in the queue and was running around the shop. When it came to her turn she was half-way round the store so I started emptying my stuff onto the conveyor. The checkout girl had just started ringing mine through when the lady returned and in a very loud snobby voice complained about me jumping the queue and that she had been next ... I just told her, in an equally loud and snobby voice that I had asked her basket if I could go ahead and it insisted I did so.SnowyOwl wrote:At Christmas saw someone "plant" their kid with a basket in an ordinary non-express, but v.long, queue...while he went and filled his trolley.
