The winners will stay for seven nights, self-catering, in a two-bedroom apartment (sleeps 4-6) at the new Hameau du Kashmir, in the high-altitude resort of Val Thorens. These upmarket, Himalayan-flavoured flats were opened last winter, and the development has an indoor pool, a spa, a nursery and a restaurant, for those who can’t be bothered to cook.
The Hameau is near both lifts and pistes in Val Thorens, one of the most snow-sure resorts in the Alps. It is part of the vast Les 3 Vallées ski area, and six-day lift passes for Les 3 Vallées are included in the prize, along with return Eurotunnel crossings for a car and passengers. It must be taken between January 4 and February 8 or March 14 and April 5, 2014, subject to availability.
