Total Parking Solutions Fine for Parking at night?

I, today, have received a parking notice from Total Parking solutions for parking at a Halfords store at night after the store has closed with only that store on the premises and no other cars in the car park.
No cameras on the exit or entrance, just two photos of my car parked there taken by an operator saying the times of my entrance and exit.
Has anyone any advice on this?
Thank you.

Yes we have some advice, but need further information
1) is this England or Wales ?
2) was this a ticket on car or postal ?
3) are you the registered keeper ?

Same as every case: please read the 'NEWBIES READ THIS FIRST!' sticky thread near the top.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes I'm in wales, postal notice, and I am the registered keeper.0

Okay you need to do an appeal to them, it will probably be rejected but you can then use popla, that is if your intensions are not to pay this scam invoice. Please read this thread as indicated by coupon mad, then post up a soft appeal here so we can see that you cover the bases needed

Dear Sir/Madam,
Ref: PCN XXXXXXXXX
I am writing as the registered keeper of vehicle XXX1234 to appeal the above ticket. As the notice states the driver had parked the car there after the named store had closed and the sum of £90 bears absolutely no relation to any genuine pre-estimate of loss incurred by either you or the landowner.
Please cancel the ticket immediately. If you choose to reject this appeal then please send me a POPLA code so that I may take this up with the independent appeals service.
Yours,

That is short and sweet , add a little about signage and contract as well
1) your signage does not comply with the bpa Code of Practice
2) your company does not have permission or authority to invoice vehicles
You are put on notice for strict proof of the aboveWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

How about adding this in seeing as the store was closed?
This charge is in violation of the British Parking Association Code of Practice:
19.5 If the parking charge that the driver is being asked to pay
is for a breach of contract or act of trespass, this charge
must be based on the genuine pre-estimate of loss that
you suffer. We would not expect this amount to be more
than £100. If the charge is more than this, operators must
be able to justify the amount in advance.0 -
Leave that out. Save detailed arguments for any POPLA appeal.
Apart from anything else, there is no way on this earth that £100 as a genuine pre-estimate of loss could be justified, never mind a figure higher than this!0 -
Ok I'll keep with the original letter and add in
1) your signage does not comply with the bpa Code of Practice
2) your company does not have permission or authority to invoice vehicles0 -
Make sure you're consistent ... e.g. number/bullet ALL your points or NONE of them.0
