 My gas meter is using units without any gas appliances being used? We have a pre-paid meter, yeah I know...
We noticed that the meter way using £30-40 per week which is a lot higher than the £20-25 winter average.
We use the central heating using common sense, i.e. for 1 hour at a time and we turn it off as the radiators stay warm for some time after etc.
So to test things we turned the boiler off as well as the cooker. The meter used 50p of gas in one hour. Have tried to phone them and got past from pillar to post.
I can't smell gas, but we are more than sure this is a faulty meter? Any suggestions?

the gas has to be going somewhere, have you checked for leaks? You can request tests but if its constant usage been used when appliances are off check for a leakDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Hello dmliverpool,
Thank you for your post.
Have you contacted us to arrange a visit to check the meter to see if it is faulty?
If not you can email me your details to the address on my profile page and I look at getting this arranged for you.
Thanks
