How to choose SO to replace doors and a window?

Hope someone can help!
All windows in our flat are UPVC double glazed apart from one. We are replacing that window and the front and back doors as they are not in very good condition. I already have one quote from a company that comes highly recommended by a friend from work, and am getting another quote from a company recommended by a friend, as well as two quotes from companies recommended by friends of a friend(!). But how do I choose between them? I am inclined to go for the company I already have the quote for, because they seem to have offered fantastic post-installation service to my friend. But then my other friend has recommended hers for the security guarantees (certified by Northumbria police apparently) and apparently has had good post-installation service. So what do I need to look for? And should I haggle about the price??
Any advice gratefully received!

Yep definately haggle
You have to take into account things like security features on both the windows and doors, the quality of the pvc i.e. will it fade/yellow with time, and of course after sales service.0
