And Christmas present to take abroad

What would you buy your husband/bf if you were having Christmas in a hot country and could only take a 'small' present in your suitcase?
Budget for the present on holiday would only be about £50.
Any ideas

I'd agree with him beforehand that we save our budget till we're home and go shopping together in the sales. Then he'd break our agreement and get me lots of gifts anyway and I'd stick to it and he'd have nothing to open on Xmas day and he'd be fine with that :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I love both these options :-).
We're having presents when we get back so I'm struggling with this 'extra'. I'm not sure a new bikini for me would do itForty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I'd organise to do something on your holiday and tell him on Christmas day, eg a snorkling trip, hire a bike, nice meal, ...but I like to do stuff and avoid collecting 'items'.0

:j yey we most definitely agree on this :j
We tend to get each other 'activities' if that makes sense. I have him scuba diving lessons for him to open on his return, but with us being away, we are taking some small pressies to open.
Thought of a helicopter trip whilst away, but we were planning on one anyway, so it seems wrong saying now it's a pressie, if that makes sense.
I'm thinking of a book, so he can read whilst we're away.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
A Victoronix penknife is always useful, small and light (but you can only take abroad if you have check in luggage)
Food to eat on Christmas day - but it depends where and when you are going.
Ipad cover - if you have ipad
Kindle - if he likes books
New Camera - and/or voucher/statement that he can take a great pic while abroad and you'll make it into an enlarged framed photo/canvas for the house.
Where are you going? What does he like to do in the UK?0 -
I'd probably do the money saving bit and count the holiday as our Christmas presents to each other rather than spend an extra £50 just because it's Christmas. I'd probably buy a book and some chocolate or something else small to give him on the day.
We're planning a holiday which will be more than we'd normally pay next November. It wasn't planned because of birthdays or anything but has just worked out that way. As I've a so-called significant birthday and we've a so-called significant anniversary in December, the holiday will do fine for both.
If you're really uncomfortable with the not spending more because it's Christmas, how about a special activity while you're away? You could even join him in it. (I got OH a hot air balloon flight for his 50th - he wouldn't have enjoyed it half as much without me to share it with!)

A book (but mine reads all the time), and the promise that if we saw anything we liked in the market we'd get that.Signature removed for peace of mind0

My first thought? A teeny tiny pair of speedos! But on a normal level, a promise of a special trip such as on to a local island (if revelent) or a spa treatment for you both or a book that you think he will like with a bottle of tanning lotion and/or drink of his choice.
To be honest there are already loads of great suggestions above so mine are probably a bit rubbish."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -
A new pair of swimming trunks, some sun glasses, a pair of Summery shoes (Toms or flip flops?) or a nice linen shirt?0
