Emails deleted arrive back in inbox.

I seem to have an odd problem on my Nexus 7 tablet email - Microsoft Outlook 2003. When I delete an email then go to trash/recycle bin and empty it at first everything looks fine and email/s deleted.

Within about ten minutes or so I hear the familiar sound letting me know that I have new email/s. When I check it - it is exactly the same email/s I have just deleted and emptied from my bin. They present as new and unread in my in box and I delete, empty the bin and it happens all over again.

It has only started happening in the last week and if anyone has any suggestions or information about this strange event I'll be very interested, thank you.

Not familiar with Outlook but every email client I have used has an option to leave the email on the server or delete it

My desktop is set to delete on server when downloading, my phone and tablet is set to leave on server

    Hope this helps

  • Thank you for replying. I have a tick against delete on server when deleted from in box and I'll see if there is any difference. So far I have just had a newly deleted email back in my in box!

    Thank you,
