Advice for Parking charge. Selling car!
Ladylane
Hi, newbie here but I've been a long time reader.
I received a parking charge from apparently overstaying in an Asda car park back in July. I've been following advice on here and ignoring any letters and demands. I'm currently up to "notice of debt recovery assignment" from Zenith Collections with a reduced fine of £80.
I'm happy to continue ignoring but I am selling my car in the next few weeks. Will the letters keep coming to me? I don't want to put off any buyers or cause any problems to a buyer by continuing to ignore.
Could do with some morale support to stop me paying the £80 and getting it over and done with!

Selling car no problem. Ticket will not transfer to new owner.

That hasn't been the advice on here for some considerable time.
But as you started out ignoring, follow Guys Dad's advice.0 -
If possible i would go to the ASDA in question and demand that they put a stop to this harrasment.
Do you still have any of the letters in question? From the Plain Language Commission:

Yes just complain to Asda. I have listed about a dozen successes in complaining to Asda about Smart Parking, in the 'successful complaints about PPCs' sticky thread - and most of those were complained about months after the event for overstays and all sorts of other jumped up reasons NOT to harass a paying customer.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
