Help! PCN challenge not noticed?

Hi all! My first post here, always been a regular recipient of MSE advice but now I actually have something specific as I don't know what to do!
I got a bus lane fine in Hounslow, London, last month. It was probably a legitimate fine, but I challenged it anyway. Didn't hear anything for a while, now I received an enforcement notice letter and they want the full £130!!
I have is a confirmation e-mail from them that they received my challenge. I don't think they ever e-mailed anything after that (always a small possibility it got lost in junk but unlikely) and I don't have any other letters. What can I do? I'm hoping I can get it back down to the £65 fine but... is there a small chance that I can get the whole thing waived because of their mistake? Or am I living in cloud cuckoo land?
Helppp please!

Hi ms
For sensible, knowledgeable advice take yourself off to PePiPoo forum - Click Here - you may well need to post scanned-in copies of letters you have received (suitably scrubbed of personal and identifying details) so that the experts can advise you accordingly.
Some 60% of all appeals against council-issued enforcement notices are successful so, as a general rule, it is well worth appealing them.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
