N Power Bill
Options
In my final year of University (2012-2013) I lived in a one bedroom apartment on my own. I had my electricity with N Power. In the first 2 weeks i used 121 units (which i am not disputing) however after the 2 weeks to 3 months later i apparently used 6333 units (how is this possible?!?)
When requesting a final bill after moving out of my apartment N Power demanded an extra payment of £1500 from me - bearing in mind i lived at the property for 10 months and had a direct debit set up of £50 a month (paid £500 already).
Being a student - most the days were spent at university and i used to work most evenings and every weekend. I think it is impossible for me to have used this much energy when hardly there in a one bedroom apartment.
I contacted the ombudsman and they suggested that they have exhausted their procedures. I am now starting to receive tele message from them. I have also written to N Power but received no response back from them.
What do i do? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Post the billed meter readings and dates. Are these your own readings, agent's, or estimates? Why 'apparently'-did you not take your own closing reading?
How was the property heated and hot watered? It's perfectly possible to use 6,333 kWh of standard rate electricity to heat during the coldest 3 months of winter. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
We were unable to take our on readings as we had no access to the meters. We would have to make a request 24 hours before we required a meter reading and the concierge would post the reading through the letter box.
The property was heated using wall heaters that would come on by a timer. These i presume were electric heaters... however, only the room i was in would have the heater turned on (i was warned about the cost of heating - hence why i hardly put them on unless i had to) the hot water was heated with one of those tanks.0 -
See here, 6333kWh for one quarter in a one bed apartment is ridiculous. Someone's pulling your plonker.0
