Asus MeMo HD7 - Connecting Camera

I've bought an Asus MeMo HD7 which I've been really pleased with so far however today I decided to plug in my camera to transfer some photos and have found they aren't recognising eachother. I've got a USB OTG adaptor to enable it all to be connected but nothing is happening when it is all plugged in.
Can anyone shed any light on what I might need to do?
Many thanks.

You don't mention what your camera is.
The real answer, and sorry for being a dinosaur, is plug the camera into a computer - this is not what tablets are for.
your OTG adaptor is for keyboards, mice, USB sticks, all of which Android has drivers for built in. If you're lucky your camera will just act like USB memory, but it seems this one doesn't.
You can't just plug anything into that adaptor and expect it to work.0
