Couriers ring every flat in block

For the past two weeks, there have been two couriers from 2 different firms when they deliver a parcel to any of the 10 flats, they ring every flat's intercom. Why can't the courier read the address label and press the intercom button for that flat?
It's frustrating to say the least. I have been off sick this week with tonsillitis been rudely been awoken by them at 8am the other day. Plus I am waiting for a couple of parcels and I think its for me and turns out its for the guy that lives below me.
What is the best way to complain about this?

Put a sticker up saying "Couriers. Only ring flat ## if addressed to them"?One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

ring them...if it is only two companies, it is easy enough. Will all be over in two weeks :eek:0

Perhaps contact the company you're expecting deliveries from and ask if its possible if their courier rings ahead of their arrival (even by an hour) and explain why you're asking, then put your buzzer on privacy until the courier calls?
Alterntively, ask them if you can change the delivery address and ask one of your friends or family if you can send the parcels there (and put buzzer on privacy of course)?
Not ideal I know but if the couriers who are ringing the buzzers aren't interested, perhaps the better option to ensure peace and quiet so you can recover. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Complain to the companies who are using the couriers, telling them that their choice of courier company is damaging their own reputation.0

How do you know they ring all 10? Do you have a meeting where you all complain about this?
Even if they did ring all 10 all you can really complain about if the one ring of your doorbell. The other 9 would have no impact on you at all?
It's not different than knocking on a house door, the person being out and then they try next door and ask them to take the parcel. It's an unfortunate fact of life that delivery companies will try the neighbours if the recipient is out.
You live in a flat, obviously the person who is meant to get the parcel is out and so they try alternative intercom buttons.
Complain all you like, it will have no affect. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Annoying, but if the boot was on the other foot and if was your parcel, wouldn't it be nice to come home and find it outside your front door?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Personally no. And if they left it outside your front door, chances are it wouldn't be there when you got home! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
