Negotiating Part Exchange

Hi we have recently entered into a part exchange with persimmon who offered is a very fair price of £117000 for ours and offered to throw in flooring but like U wanted £3000 extra to keep our mortgage in budget. We went back to persimmon saying if they knocked £5000 off the new build price and threw in turf we'd agree. They came back said yes to turf and they only knock £3000 off house. Perfect! I'd def try and negotiate maybe ask for more off like we did then they think they've got a good deal if you agree to less! Good luck
Meant to say persimmon have our house on the market now for £119950 so good result for us0 -

How quick is property selling on this development? When is home complete?
We haven't agreed a differential between the two prices. We just put down our expectation for part exchange price.
It's the last house for this development.
The home is not complete yet, it will be completed in March.0 -

That's really good to know. Sounds like you got a good deal. Hopefully we can get some negotiation!0 -
So an update on the situation.
TW came back with the extra three grand.
So now just waiting for Miller now...
Thanks for advice thus far0 -
Which house do you want? do you have a preference?0

It also depends how much they want to sell the house. When we part exchanged our house against a new build with Barratts we haggled them from £107,000 first offer to £119,500 simply because if we got any less we couldn't afford to proceed.0
