G24 parking charge notice in Scotland

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. I just received a G24 parking charge. I know the general advice is to ignore it but I'm worried and want to make sure I do the right thing. I'm also not sure if the law is different in Scotland?
I have been parking in a carpark in front of disused shops for months while I was at work. Very recently parking notices have been put up. I haven't parked there since I found out about them but I must have parked there once at first without noticing them. Anyway, they said I have to pay £90 but if I pay within 14 days, it's £50.
Should I appeal or just ignore it?

Definitely ignore totally.
However ..... if you feel that you have too much money, and want to give some away to a needy cause, just PM me and I'll tell you where to send £40.
See that - I've given you another £10 discount, seeing as it's nearly Xmas.
Then I will ignore it for you.

Yes, your tongue or pen is your worst enemy in this case. They can't pursue the registered keeper in Scotland and need to prove who was driving.0

This 'IGNORE COMPLETELY' advice only applies to Scotland and NI nowadays but is easy to confirm just by searching the forum for the keyword 'Scotland' and reading results such as threads by chickadee13 and mimosaDR, to name but two recent ones where this has been discussed yet again.
Already covered as well, in the bottom of the 'NEWBIES read this first!' thread at the top of the forum, with a link to the amusing Watchdog video, to boot.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Hi
Can I ask how you got on ignoring this?
I have rec'd parking charge notice and obviously don't want to pay, but just a bit nervous of ignoring the letter, I was actually working in the store on the day (not employed by company) and have done this many times before so parking restrictions are new and I wasn't looking for the signs...has the store manager got any authority to cancel fine?
Thanks0 -
If you are also in Scotland then just ignore.
There's no point asking how this has gone - THIS thread was only from 2 months ago, so there's a LOOOONG way to go yet.

Thank you, and yes in scotland
What should I expect in future letters?0 -
Just search the forum for Scotland. And READ THE NEWBIES THREAD!0

Also look at the pre-POFA letter chain thread. That will give a fair idea of the rubbish they will send you.
And yes, read the Newbies thread all is answered in there without the need to bump old threads.0 -

Various threats promising eternal damnation and a life of penury.
But you can safely ignore and they eventually give up.0
