How long should I keep credit card receipts?

Obviously
i) until you have checked they have gone out of your account correctly, and
ii) until after you are happy you will not want to return them / they are out of any warranty period.

But are there any reasons to keep them longer?

Apologies if this is a duplicate, I don't think I've seen this question anywhere though.
Thanks in advance.

I should have said - I do all my CCs online so statements only available for a year - is it worth saving them for longer than that??

    Thanks for the superspeedy response!

I can't see any reason for keeping statements past a year. After a while it just becomes clutter and one more thing to sort out.

If you are tarting it is worth noting in a file what cards you have had, what credit limit they gave you and the date you cancelled them. You will then have an idea of timescales and credit limits if you want to apply again in the future. ;)
