That's close as in shut and not close and in near!
I now have 2 bank accounts since my recent marriage. A new joint account where all our expenditure is controlled from. There is then a recently new Lloyds Classic a/c which I opened intending to move my natwest current account operations to and then the Natwest account which is 28 years old.
None of them have an overdraft facility (not wanted) and Lloyds and Natwest have next to nothing in them so they are sitting more or less dormantly.
I am sure I don't need 3 bank accounts and my inclination is to definitely close Lloyds but should I keep Natwest? Would it assist my credit record if it is kept or are there any other advantages?
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

It's always handy to have alternative accounts and debit cards as the recent meltdowns at RBS/Natwest/Ulster Bank have shown
If you upgraded your Lloyds classic to Vantage you could get 3% and use it as a savings account0
