Facebook apps not working

It is Avast that is causing this problem, I had the same problem and after trying various things that didn't work I uninstalled Avast and the apps started working ok then.
I installed Avira then instead.

You should be OK with Avast and Chrome, seeing as the latest Avast update came shipped with Chrome browser.

See if you have the same blank pages using IE.

I am using Avast and use Chrome and Firefox too with no problems?
If someone could post a link to a comp that doesn't work for them I can try on my PC.
I think that the Avast problem with Firefox was caused by the Avast online security add-on for Firefox which can be easily disabled using the 'Tools' 'Add-ons' options in Firefox.
I wouldn't recommend people start installing different anti-virus software IMO

Yes, Avast is the best I've tried.

Despite the update with Chrome my only problem with it has been a few of the advent apps on Facebook, nowhere else on Chrome.

That's what makes me think it is to do with the settings their end...

I've been having quite a few sites not loading from time to time since the advents started. I've cleared cookies and history three times now. Not sure if that sorts it, but then all the advents fills it up again within 24 hours. Probs have been with

I get an error message saying something about not being able to load the page and asking me to reload. Usually I leave it a minute or so and then it's fine.

I use Chrome and Windows Defender.

Would love to know if this is a 'just me' or not thing.

Can anyone enter this Advent today (it is the last day) https://www.facebook.com/whittardofchelsea/app_643092409067909 (click on 14) When I 'click here for a chance to win' nothing happens??? It has worded every day up to today. I just wondered if it was just me? Thanks x

I too have had to re-load a few pages - earlier in the week I also kept getting logged out of facebook with some of the apps. Since I have cut down on many of the advents, this isn't happening so much. I just hope the problems are being caused by too many apps being used by so many entrants and things will settle after Advent?

Thanks Bluegirl. As long as it's not just me, that's ok - don't know why that's true, but it is

I had a play with that advent, and it's the same for me. There are three of the boxes that still say 'win today. # 12 told me I'd already entered (which is true), #13 said "Thanks for your interest, but the entry period for this promotion has ended. Please come back soon!", and with #14 nothing happens when i click on the box inside the box. So I have a feeling it might've finished.

I love the Advents but must admit I have felt frustrated with a few of them when I haven't been able to enter! Not long now till they are over and it is reassuring it isn't just me (or you) who cannot enter!
