For Sale Board in window

My housing association will only give me permission to put a "For Sale" board in the window of my flat. Personally I think that's going to look a little tacky.

Do you think I should or just not bother with it at all?

The flat will be appearing on Zoopla and Rightmove and there is a very distinctive red vase in window, so people would know which flat was for sale, so tempted not to have one.

    Xmas Saver!
It may well look a bit tacky, but it might also catch someone's eye who hasn't seen it in the estate agents.
You could lose a sale by not having it.

I don't see why it will look tacky. I suppose you could ask for posters, rather than the boards which stick on to the window.

Most flats with one communal entrance have the boards attached to the entrance to the flats with a little sign underneath saying '1st floor 2 bed flat'

This means passers by can be informed there is a flat for sale in that block and can eliminate it before looking at the blurb at the EA.

Are you selling your flat or shared ownership? If SO I'd go along with their rules.

My flat's a maisonette, there's a communal path and then my flat'sfront door and the downstairs neighbour's front door. So I could have putit up in the front garden if they'd let me but never mind.

Looks like general consensus is to put it in the window, so I'll go with youguys.

    Thank you all

Most people nowadays search over the web. But you can always maximize possibility with a board.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.
