When they switch off the analogue signal and switch to digital, what will happen to car stereos will they stop working as well??

There are no plans to switch off analogue radio transmissions, AM or FM in the near future.
DAB has yet to gain national coverage.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

No plans to switch of analogue radio for some time yet.
If and when they do, then you'd need to replace the radio with a digital one, could be 15 - 20 years before that look at it.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
