Help to buy still in probation

Hi guys
Just a quick one. Was wondering what the chances of getting a mortgage on help to buy (Natwest most prob) when still in probation at a job, 4 and 1/2 months into a 6 month probation.
Part of a couple, partner has been in same employment for 7 years. Affordability isn't an issue around £125'000 house, with joint income of £39k, zero debt. I know what people will say, save more you have a goodish income. But we are currently in the rental trap, it would save us so much each month to buy.
Has anyone been accepted whilst still on probation.
We also have a nationwide save to buy account for over the required 6 months.
With both products the rates aren't great but we would overpay each month.
I'm open to criticism and will obviously give this major thought. Also seems like a long time to get an appointment to see anyone so gives us time to mull things over.

I guess it depends where you are in the house buying process? If you are only just starting to look then maybe the 6 months will be passed?
Can you afford to wait another month or 2?
