No idea - could be years away - claim Tax Credits instead.
These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.

A PAYE calculator which show you any tax that should be paid. The personal allowance (non taxable sum) has been raised.

The Turn2us online benefit calculator seems to calculate the future sum under UC if I interpret the figures correctly? Anyone else know why this calculator returns two values, one I assume is the current one and one modelling the sum under UC?

Can anyone recommend an accurate UC calculator or is it too unreliable at the moment because full UC implementation is around 4 years away, if this deadline is met at all?

You don't pay tax because you earn under your personal tax allowance of £9440. I wouldn't worry about Universal credit yet they still don't know when it will be ready.
Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.

    Hiya

Thanks for all your reply so will I be entitled to tax credit?
I currently get £47.10 a week child benefit but nothing else! Can somebody tell me roughly how much I may get tax credit please I don't know how these things work.
Also for my cleaning job I get cash in hand weekly without any payslips whereas my midday assistant jobs wages goes straight into my account and I do get payslips for that. Will that be a problem no payslips for cleaning job?

Thanks so much ppl really appreciate this help xxx

Claim Tax Credits - Universal Credit is becoming more of a farce every day, and no one knows when, or even 'if', it will ever be up and running.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

You should be claiming for child tax credits, working tax credits and child support from the father(s).

You need to legitimise your cleaning job to be able to claim WTC, otherwise it will look as if you don't do sufficient hours. You shouldn't be paid cash in hand anyway.

You can be paid cash in hand as long as your employer still accounts for tax and ni if it is due.

However you must have proof of employment so you need to start getting payslips.

You have a statutory right to pay slips.

    See here:

You must check re your cleaning job. Are you an employee? Do you have a contract?

But that isn't what's meant by being paid "cash in hand", you're just talking about being paid in cash.
  • Ok will speak to my employer regards payslips. The place I clean is a charity based homework club place thing? I've been working there for nearly 2 years now. Say they don't give me payslips what can I do then I don't want to leave I need this job n its a stone throw away from my home n the days I have no one to look after my kids they allow me to take them with me. If it's too much hassle I might not apply for tax credits I'm managing ok as it is.
As for the father of my children's paying maitence I would love this extra cash only if I knew where he is ????
