Honouring a Buy it Now when item has bids

Hi All
I listed an item last night and got a message from an interested buyer this morning asking for a BIN. I got back to her and quoted my price for BIN (£15)and she accepted and asked me to add it to the auction but in this time another bidder placed a bid (my item was on a start at 99p auction). As I'd offered the first person the BIN I'd like to honour that but I can't now legitimately add a buy it now. I've looked up the best way forward and found that if I ask the BIN person to bid the BIN quoted and then end the auction I can sell to her.....BUT....won't this mean that her bid simply beats the first bidder and therefore she won't be paying the £15 that she'd agreed to? I'm confused?
What if a member offers you a "Buy It Now" price?
You can't add a Buy It Now price once the auction has started.
If a member contacts you to ask you to accept a final price for your item, it's against eBay rules to end the listing then sell the item to them directly. See Transactions Outside eBay.
However, you are permitted to end a listing early and sell the item to the high bidder (via the eBay website). Ask the member to place a bid at the amount they offered to you, then go to the End My Listing Early form and select "Sell to the high bidder".

You might be better off cancelling the bid, ending the auction and relisting with the buy-it-now, sending the item number to the interested party0
