I've had a look and it has got a dough hook, food processor and liquidiser attached, none of which we have got now so we should get some use out of these too.

I use mine to make real bread (not that breadmaker excuse for a loaf ;) ) every weekend, any leftovers get put in the freezer which I then use to make breadcrumbs in the liquidizer, which then get either flavoured to coat chicken or fish or left plain to make meatballs/meatloaf/burgers, which I mix in the bowl using the beater!

I also use it to make cakes obviously, whip cream, make icing, make pastry which I have never been very good at by hand, the list is endless really, and all you have to wash up is a bowl and attachment, easy peasy.

The only thing I would say, if you have the space, keep it out on the side, then I promise you you will use it, a lot.

Agree with Peachy - you need to keep it on the worktop otherwise it won't get used as it's heavy to lift in and out of cupboards to use. I used to have my breadmaker on the worksurface but gave up on using it long ago as the bread wasn't very good and took so long to do. That is now in the cupboard and comes out now and again if DH wants a shaped loaf rather than a freeflow one!

It is obvious that it was not a Panasonic.

No it's just obvious that I prefer oven baked bread to machine bread. I hear Panasonic is the best of the machines but to compare Panasonic bread to kenwood chef bread is like comparing kenco coffee to fresh ground coffee beans :)
