Shill bidding

Following item I am interested in on eBay, however am very suspect about bid history in itself and the fact that this repeated bidder features in sellers feedback history and vice versa...

I'd be interested to see what anyone else thinks.

I agree. Bidding on the same seller's auctions for completely different items, very suspect.0

Worth reporting them to eBay.0

I agree - Dodgy as ****! ( I ****'d that - use some imagination.
)
I once won a PC off ebay, from a seller with 1 positive feedback, then I went into that feedback, and it was EXACTLY the same item I won, with the winning bidder of THAT auction, bidding against me in the one I won!!!
Suffice to say I reported him to ebay, got him banned, then he rung me up asking when I was going to collect and said there was a problem with his ebay being blocked, and I said (more or less) its because you're a cheating little ba**ard!
Now I check feedback and ratings before committing myself to buying. I think that my 240+ 100% rating and current "power seller" status (oh, I wondered why the hell they gave that to me, think it was the car I sold for my work) should put me in good stead with convincing bidders I'm trustworthy.

I recently reported shill bidding to eBay but they replied after a week to saythere is not enough evidence to show that a violation has taken place.
The two IDs are "innateonline" and "uk_mobile_phones"
http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidItems&userid=uk_mobile_phones&completed=1&all=1&rows=50&sort=3
"uk_mobile_phones" has ended up winning seven of the auctions but has received no feedback!!
I'm a bit annoyed at taking the time to report these things and nothing is done :mad:0 -

I've reported someone to ebay for shill bidding, see also this thread for more info.
Definarely worth the effort either there's something in it or not. There's nothing to say this seller might have 2 or 3 other accounts and only ebay's records can flag up shill bidding (well unless you really want to compare all their auctions).
Lets us know what happens, I love it when a big plate of vengence is served up:j:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0 -
Well I reported this seller shortly after initial post - got eBay acknowledgement but the car is still advertised with the suspect 'bidder' still on top.
I'll not hold my breath.
Hope no-one ends up paying over the odds...sufferinsnickerinrickrastadley0 -
Please can someone explain to me what shill bidding is?
Thanks."It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that, I'm sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it comin'."
