Sorry, should have said on a Saturday
Not found one who will hire on a Saturday only0 -
I would certainly try looking for a local indy hire place - it's no help to you, but a place local to me has always been happy to hire to me for a Saturday only (though I can't actually return it until Monday morning) and only charge £25 for a Mondeo estate. The downside is that I generally get a car that's 6 or 7 years old with quarter of a million on the clock, but having said that, their cars have never let me down whereas twice already this year I have had cars from Enterprise (for work) with around 500 miles on the clock which have catastrophically failed and had to be recovered.0

Out of curiosity, how did they deal with this? Did they deliver a new car to the point you was broken down at or something?0 -
You might find it easier and cheaper to take one their weekend deals.0

I'd say try a local indy - it's a bit out of your way, but I've used Dorking Van Hire in the past for a Saturday.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

The first time it happened I was only 20 miles from home and the delay meant I would miss the meeting I was travelling to, so I just got a lift home with the recovery vehicle and wrote the day off. The second time I was a long way from home and Enterprise got someone to immediately run a replacement car out to me, they then waited with the broken down car for the recovery truck. Excellent service, and the breakdowns were completely out of Enterprises control.0
