Tesco versus egg?

At the moment I use my Egg card which gices me 1% cash back. I am wondering whether it would be better to change to the Tesco credit card which gives clubcard points on all spending, and then use the clubcard points on deals. Has anyone done the maths to work out what % it equates to if you use the Tesco credit card and then use the points for deals?

The current Clubcard credit card gives you 1 point per £4 spent, i.e. equivalent 0.25% cashback. With deals this would be equivalent to 1% cashback.

If you had the old card you would get twice the reward (i.e. 2%).
