I got the equivalent set in the 75% off sale last year for £15, I agree that you could buy similar products for less in £ stores and the like but I like the S&G toiletries as a treat.
I haven't and won't use everything, but the items I have used would have cost more than £15, others can be gifted and any remaining given to a charity who collects toiletries / make up for women's shelters.
I just hope that all the people who have bought them don't attempt to resell on eBay etc.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

There were loads in my local store too. I picked one up then suddenly realised I'm over soap and glory so I put it back
My plan was to resist the temptation this year too & I'm quite annoyed with myself that I caved in. The bag won me over, though it's not quite the same as the pic in the gift guide, I was expecting it to be like the case of 2 years ago as it looked a similar size & desgn.
Not so much a bargain as it was a few years back when the offer of the week was 3for2, no longer part of 3for2 & it's gone up every year since too. Also one less item in now as well, I'll sell the mascara on Ebay as won't use that.0 -

They probably put them out on the shop floor ... and I bought it :rotfl:... sorry. Seriously though, I was in at around 12 today and they had loads in at least 2 different places but appeared to be flying off the shelf.Ditch 100 in January Challenge 100/100

i know what you mean - i had one in my hands and was wandering around the store with it this afternoon, before deciding i really didn't need it and putting it back on the shelf.
Its a very very nice bag though- and I ended up having a lovely conversation with 2 ladies about S&G and the weekly star gift. 2 of us were talking about the FCUK bag of previous years (which I bought myself with points, and is still like new, despite being used as an overnight bag, a swimming bag, and now my DD's
PE kit bag). Is it weird that it doesn't feel weird to be stood in Boots with complete strangers talking about toiletry sets?0 -

I don't get the big deal about Soap and Glory unless you buy into a myth, and why the MSE newsletter is propagating this same myth.
This is soooo true, it's been completely hyped up the last few years. I think the first year it was good but since then the price has been increased and the contents reduced
Totally agree with the above posts. When everyone was going on about the Soap and Glory glitch on Boots plus 3for2, I bought some makeup, but don't think it's great quality. As for shower gel, body lotion, I've loads in the cupboard.0 -
Just a heads up for anyone who is looking for these sets in Bristol or surrounding area's. Bristol old galleries boots have crates full of them on the top floor.
Was there yesterday and over heard the manager saying that he was shocked these wasn't selling.

Haha, no not at all, I always find I get talking to someone whilst waiting for the 75% sale to open in January, it's always the same people in the queue with a few new faces too! There's generally a good level of banter with th Boots addicts out there at Christmas0 -
For anyone who is still after this set, boots in lancing have got 4 left. Ive just left there x0
