Is It Just Me? Losing My Mobile

Options
I am getting really frustrated. I keep losing my dratted mobile phone. Its not a cheap one.., and its only in the house.., but I must spend half an hour a day looking for where I put it.

There are a lot of things going on, problems with both my children (both of whom have special needs), I'm not sleeping much (and I do try), so walking around like a zombie some days. Too much to do with Xmas and various things (sick dad, school that keeps rearranging extra teaching sessions and other activities, fairly short of money, appointments to attend blah blah blah.

I feel totally exhausted, and out of control. I lost my phone last night.., found it this morning within 30cm of my desk here.., and half an hour later its gone again. No idea where and no I can't retrace my steps cause I can't remember exactly what I've done (tried and I still can't find it).

Its a hassle I could do without right now.

Is anyone else like this? I'm feeling totally incompetent.

While in the house ALWAYS keep it inside some huge bright pink thing you can't miss. ALWAYS put it there .... maybe a big pink neon bag, or find a huge lightweight ball to affix it to.

    Can't you ring it?

I do it all the time and walk around the house listening for it, hence I always keep my ringer on loud, doesn't help when I've left it in the car though :o

  • It is in a bright red case, which helps but even this is failing me lately. The problem happens when I'm not focusing on what I'm doing.., either running after the children midway through doing something else or just when I'm tired and doing three jobs at once. I'm very tired and feeling a bit overwhelmed right now.
  • For me at th minute it's the cat, she's got a sore tail, we have just moved house and she's not allowed out, I must look for her every 5 minutes to be sure she hasn't run out somewhere. I get so anxious about it.

But yes usually it's my phone, and despite having find my iphone installed and ringing it, I can't find it.

It helps having a designated corner, end of table, etc, in every room for the phone. Or I'd never find mine either.

Seeing as you're inside losing it, why not get a lanyard to put round your neck and keep it in? Doesn't matter how it looks as no one will see.

Can't you get one of those key-finder fobs to attach to it.
