Copy of decree absolute

I need a copy of my decree absolute. I have all the details (case number etc). I don't have time to go to the court in person so thought I'd do it by post. However, this page - https://www.gov.uk/copy-decree-absolute-final-order - is very vague about the actual process.

Has anyone done this? Can I just write them a letter, enclose a cheque for £5 and they will send it to me? Do I need to send an SAE with it?

I've tried calling the number for enquiries but it's permanently engaged.

Well, for anyone that might be interested, the approach of sending them a letter with a cheque for £5 and an SAE did work - I sent it on the date of the OP, and got the certificates today - they were kind enough to send 2 copies. So not very fast (almost 3 weeks) but then the cheque had to clear, and there was Christmas in the middle of it.

Mine was sent through the post after 6 weeks of the Nisi, do I assume my solicitor arranged it.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Originally the only one I got was a photocopy, legalised by my solicitor. The solicitor kept the copy they received from the court in their archive. I didn't receive anything directly from the court. This was almost 2 years ago now.

Now I need an extra copy for some paperwork. I know that they are available directly from the court, who can prepare them while you wait, but I didn't have time to go over to the court during working hours.
