We're going by train to Southport so don't fancy packing duvets!
Will just take a clean sheet and towels and hope it's warm.

For any others going to Southport, shopping is brill in town. There's a good B&M store in Lord Street - loads of bargain food, drink:beer: ! and household goods. Also in Lord Street (long parade of shops) is a great shoe shop -can't remember name sorry - but has really good quality shoes at bargain prices. Loads of cheap cafe's in town too.
The beach is good. There's plenty of it as the tide is permanently out!
Loads more to do there - google Southport.

I didn't know whether to go for Southport or Prestatyn (decisions, decisions for FREE holiday:rolleyes: !) both not far from me, but picked Southport 'cos more to do in the area.
Now it seems like the majority of you are off to Prestatyn. Think I'm going to miss out on a MSE party!

when i rang back to pay my £5 ground floor fee was told that I didn't have to pay the fee or for bed linen as it was all free

Really disappointed would've liked to have gone week commencing 2 July but i'm at the theatre in London on the 3rd - trust me to miss out on this FREE opportunity - my trip has cost me nearly £500 for 3 of us for one night!

I just got through & managed to get Prestatyn for next friday for 4 of us. The lady on the phone said none of the other holiday sites had any freebies left for weekend breaks & there was hardly anything left. Although there are some 50% & 30% reductions going.

A big thankyou from our family to mrobinson for our free holiday!!!!!!

rang back and told them i would like to add my daughter to list, i told her i wanted hemsby or devon she said nothing at devon but she checked and got me a ground floor classic at hemsby woohoo 2nd july anyone else going????
