I hope Motorguy and the others who've got tickets actually get it. It would be very disappointing to dress up and plan an evening to get turned away at the door.
I think you guys should have a Plan B. Nominate a nice restaurant or something to go to if you don't get a seat.
I'm at the afternoon session. Doors open at 13:00, close at 13:30.
We'll aim to be in the city for about 10:00, then head that direction. Will play it by ear from there in terms of queues, etc, and juggle in going for breakfast or a bit of shopping dependant on that.
I dont think they oversubscribed massively - they'll know quite precisely what percentage of people dont turn up at a BGT show and only oversubscribe by roughly that amount.
I looked at doing all this sort of thing for the BBC in a previous job and stats from previous shows were V important for the above reason and relatively predictable.
We'll go somewhere for a meal afterwards. Wont be in tears if it doesnt work out. Will head over to the cinema or something, but cant see any reason why it wont fall in to place.0 -

With that attitude I don't see why you won't have a lovely day out.
I see what you mean in regards to other shows. It isn't something which has ever appealed to me but hey, we're all different aren't we?0 -
Just for the record,I applied for tickets this morning and this was the reply email..
''Thank you for your free audience ticket request for Britain's Got Talent 2014 Belfast Auditions on Saturday 18th January 2014 at 13:00.
If your ticket request is successful we will send you a unique eTicket link direct to your inbox at the latest 4 days PRIOR to your chosen date. If you have not heard from us by then, it means you have sadly not been successful on this occasion. ''0 -
I think that's the standard one Joy. I got that or something similar.
Then a couple of days later got confirmation I had been successful.
As someone else posted though - you still have to queue on the day for the numbered seats - no guaranteed entry until you get the numbered seat tickets.
Good Luck, BB0 -

Yeah, the "actual" e-tickets came through for me a day or two later.0 -

Did anyone get their tickets withdrawn? I got an email saying that as they had overestimated the Waterfront's capacity they would be withdrawing around 200 tickets. Pretty gutted and considering they state it's first come first served at the door, I'm pretty miffed.0

Yep, got the same thing yesterday in the email, we had two tickets for the 1pm show. We were already looking for someone to pass them onto as we couldn't get a babysitter, so am actually pretty pleased now as the email said we'd get first refusal for future tickets. Will be interested to see what those who go actually think of it.0 -
Mine are still valid - didnt get a withdrawal notice.0
