looks like your Pop settings are wrong, whos your email provider i.e Virgin, Google what?
also see if server requires authentication is ticked or not, from OE, Tools, Accounts, Highlight Account then properties0 -

As Asus Mobo says, it sounds as if your details are incorrect. If you have had it working and have made no changes it could be that your ISP's pop3 server is down.
If you post your ISP then we should be able to tell you what your pop3 address should be0 -
I had this one time when I had an update from Nortons - if you are using Norton's anti-virus I would do a system restore to a date when you know it was working. Also a good idea to look up the error on AV website.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
