Avast help please

I have got avast free version on my laptop I was prompted to update my version, so I have installed the newest version now. The problem is since installing avast wont open it says
HTMLayout.dll is missing please re install.
Do I remove avast and re install it? sorry to sound so stupid I am running windows 7
