Fraudulent Activity, BOS Debit Card advice

Hi all,
BOS called me this afternoon to alert me to some fraudulent activity on my debit card. Card cancelled and new one on the way. Pleased how quickly they picked this up (if pleased is the right word!)
My previous debit card was stolen in February this year - just wondering if this activity today could potentially be related, and if it would be worth asking BOS for a brand new account? Would there be any security advantages in having my 8 digit account number changed?
Thanks

No advantage at all really.
Since you don't know how your account was compromised you might find it happening again with a new number.
Be grateful they are sorting it for you.0 -

Absolutely, they were excellent.
My thinking was that somehow the sort code/account number that was on the card stolen in February could somehow be linked to replacement cards under the same account.
