Extending wifi

I have just bought a CCTV system that I would like to put in an outbuilding and connect to my wifi network. The DVR doesn't support WLAN but does have a LAN port in the back. It won't be easy to run a CAT5 cable back to the house so I would prefer to extend wirelessly and be able to then hardwire the DVR into the wifi extention equipment.
I can't currently see the network in the outbuilding to I might need to actually extend it twice (i.e. use a device in between the house and the outbuilding to extend the signal as far as the outbuilding
What do I need?

Is the outbuilding wired to mains electric via the house? If so your best solution is a pair of powerline adapters. Get ones which have RJ45 connectors on both plugs, and then Robert is your father's brother.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?

No. I have 2 mains supplies; one for the house and one for the outbuildings0 -
If you were going to put an extender between the house and the outbuilding, how would it be powered?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

We have 4 outbuildings. The first is quite close to the House. All outbuildings are on the same power supply. Maybe I could receive my wifi in the first outbuilding and then use the mains to distribute round the outbuildings?0

...I was heading in that direction - hoping somewhere you could use a combination of wifi and powerline.
So, put a wifi extender in the first building, then use powerline adapters to get it to the other one.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

Obviously it all depends on the strength of signals, distances, construction etc.
Do you get a signal for your house wifi in the first outbuilding? If you do then you could put the extender there. Obviously once thats there your going to have a new/ extended network further into the grounds of your property and so the powerline aspect may or may not be required0
