Are there any REAL business bank managers out there?

Visit to our new business bank 'manager' (they change every 6 months). This is the bank we have been with for 10 years now..
Us ..
Hi , things are going really well. our loan will be paid off early next year because of overpayments and our agreed overdraft is reducing rapidly . We still have a problem with the Xmas period but we are still making a profit and have assets and plenty of guaranteed work coming in.
So firstly we are offered a 5 year loan (seems the Gov are backing these ?) that we don't want or need, at an interest rate still to be confirmed , but we do own our own homes don't we? . so could we just fill in a financial questionaire about our private income and outgoings?,
then we are told to upgrade our phones so we can use 'pingit'??
Our customers are government contracts and I am pretty sure they don't pay by 'pinging stuff''
Then , do we have a web site? (again we don't use one and if we did we have access to someone who could set it up) because .. guess what ? our bank can SELL us a package helping us to set up a web site .We were even shown a helpfull video on a hand held thing to explain the wonders of a multitude of these products
Then , when does our Company insurance run out?
We gave the bank the chance to quote 8 months ago and they were the most expensive, so explained.
Finally could we fill in a customer satisfaction form there and then to say how pleased we were with the advice and help with our business that had been given today?
:T

Seems we met the sales person , perhaps next time we could actually meet the business bank manager?

I never see my business bank manager, I guess they don't want to sell me extra services enough! Must've seen the state of my accounts ;-)

However, I did do the books for a fairly big pop star for a few years, Court's media banking was a more personal setup (the accounts had 7-8 figures flowing through them though!)

There used to be a "real" manager at our Barclays branch. She was there for years and was really good. As a result we recommended her/them to lots of our clients. About 5 years ago, she couldn't take it any longer - the constant pressure to "sell" rather than give advice, and she left. Since then a succession of "6 month wonders" who havn't a clue. As a result, we no longer recommend Barclays to clients. The Barclays top management really do live on a different planet!

We had a fantastic Bank manager who worked her butt off when one of our clients went bust but she is long gone.
Honestly , this meeting was a joke, Could not even tell us how long the loan had to run , we had to give the info!
No contact from them since the meeting 2 weeks ago.No follow up .. zero
It worries me as to how they are advising new business start ups.
Just one big hard sell and we are sick of paying for services with nothing in return,
Anyone recommend a decent bank for businesses?
