1080P HDTV Hunt

Options
Hi, i am currently wanting to purchase a new TV and i have heard that 1080p TV is the best. I am wanting a size 37" upwards (prefer 42") what is the cheapest anyone can find?

also is there much differnce between getting a 1080p and just an ordinary HDTV???

The TV must be compatible with the blu-ray player on the PS3 which i want to get in the near future!

I wouldnt say its worth it at the moment. but it would be nice to be future proof, although by the time HD takes off properly these TVs will cost half what they do now.

you really want to set a budget first and get the best tv for that price rather than getting the cheapest 1080p tv because you pay for what you get.

if you are getting a ps3 then get a 1080p which runs at 24 rather than the 60 fps which is commonplace. this removes the judder from films. i know the sony d300 does it. but you will have to pay 1200+

    I'm waiting for 1920 x 1080 pixel panels become a realistic price.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
