new laptop choice

I am buying a new laptop and have been looking at dell latitude e5540 i3 4gb 500 GB at £538 It has widows 7 Or a Lenovo z500 with windows 8 I will use this laptop for shopping and looking on internet no games. What are your thoughts

Half the price of the Dell, so you could buy one now put the rest of the money in the bank and then buy another new laptop in a couple of years time.

If you want dell, check out their business laptop with 3 year warranty. I remember they have 4th gen i3/i5 laptop ~£400.

I've seen you recommending that laptop in several threads, so am assuming its a particularly good deal?
I had planned to buy one in the January sales, but is this too good a deal to get any better after Christmas..?
