A little further down the thread, forummer espresso posted that a £9 shredder had been seen, also in Morrisons

Morrisons are currently selling a Pavo Crossmaster 5 II cross cut shredder for £9.

Five sheets of A4

Two year guarantee

Thirteen litre basket

Weight 4.2Kg

Back to the original post....

I noticed in my local Morrisons today that they are selling this shredder at £12.99. The make is Crossmaster and I think it's a great price for one of these, also shreds up to 5 sheets.

I bought this one yesterday & tried it today. Not bad for the price.
Would recommend, especially for a cross cut shredder.

The shredder sold by Wilko for £8 is a straight cut shredder, not a high security cross cut shredder.

Pavo is spanish for 'turkey'. I hope this is not one! I'll have a look this afternoon and see if they have any in our local.

I noticed my local Staples were selling off a variety of Rexel ones - there was an Acco HS95 for £14.99 which I could only find at £25 on the net which seemed ok. Wasn't cross cut but did cut into small rectangles.... though could only handle 3 sheets which seemed pretty poor.

Here's a link to the Acco one if anyone is interested... It is referred to as 'cross cut' though.

It seems to be well made and shreds to the same size (40 x 4mm strips) as the Rexel model that you quoted for about three times the price. Could even be the same mechanism, as it look similar.
Pavo's headquarters is located in Oss, The Netherlands, furthermore we have offices in France, UK and Hong Kong.

Pavo's team is made up of professionals from all over the worlds, making us a truly international company.

Pavo's success is founded on innovation, quality and service.

Sounds great espresso. Hope they have some in my local Morrisons.

You'd have thought they would have checked out international translations of prospective names for the company before choosing one! :-) Can't see it going down well in spanish speaking countries! No wonder they don't have international offices there.
