Vinci PCN for parking outside marked bay

Hi,

Could anyone help us with how to deal with this PCN please?

Received it for parking outside marked bay in a Free Car park (4 hours free parking at any one time). Was slightly over white line but we have a 4x4 and the car next to me was over too and so I didn't have much choice! Plus it is a multi story car park.

We received a pcn NTK on 31 Oct. just ignored it and then received a letter from debt collection agency dated Dec 3rd.

Seems that we are out of time to appeal? I am incensed to have t o pay this scam charge but not sure what to do next? Debt agency said to will be referred onto a solicitor if not settled.

Thanks.

Was this in England / Wales?

I doubt the PPC will accept any appeal now as they will maintain this should have been done within 28 days of the NtK and even allowing for postal delays it is probably too late now.

You are probably now in ignore territory unless you receive a LBA / LBCCC or Court Papers.

If there was no windscreen ticket (and the NtK doesn't imply there was one) then the keeper could disclose the driver name/address and so reset the clock. This could allow the driver to appeal to the PPC (then POPLA) and get this killed off.

What did you decide when you read the 'Newbies read this first!' sticky thread and in particular the bit about what to do if too late to appeal?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
