I was thinking that when I put it - but don't know how to put piccies on here :eek:0 -
Bread pudding in the oven along with OH's baked potatoes. Also made the breadcrumbs for Queen of Puddings and froze those for another day.
Handyman came round to have a look at the bathroom, which needs converting. He's going to have a look at some local (in Cumbria 30 miles away is considered local!) bathroom places and come back with ideas. He wants to start it next month
Yet another NSD today (8 in a row) but will probably need to get some veg from the green grocers tomorrow. We are determined not to spend more than £50 this month!
Love this threadPay off all your debts by Christmas 2025 no. 15 £0/69490 -
Not as big of a spendy yesterday as I thought which is good and another SFD clocked up today.
The weather here has been awful but did manage a walk to the allotments yesterday afternoon. Not many people down there but had a good catch up with the die hard allotmenteers lol.
I've checked the waiting list too and still not movedcan't wait to get one of my own but will be growing at home again this year.
Was really pleased with my shopping yesterday, came under budget and have updated signature but also had to renew car insurance
I can't believe I'm saying this but I am looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.

On the crafting section of Mse they usually recommend flickr for putting pictures up but I'm not sure how to do it though ther may be some instructions somewhere on the site.0 -
A NSD for me and lots of "sorting". A big declutter and throw out and my kitchen & pantry have been reorganised to make meal planning / shopping lists easier.
All ready for school tomorrow and I'm back at work. I work from home so upstairs in the office - extra thick jumper out and fingerless gloves set out. I won't heat the whole house for the sake of one room. Flask ready to fill and take up saving kettle clicks and me accidentally falling into the fridge every time I walk past.
So far, so good. I'll miss the boys but am very ready to be geting back into a routine again!
Might be worth investing in a small oil filled radiator, we move ours around the house depending on where we are and how cold it is. If you keep it switched on low then it doesnt use alot of energy to get hot again and certainly cheaper than heating a whole house,I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Nsd today OH went to a party last night with left over drink from Christmas he popped in to a shop last night and saw they were selling tubes of mini mars bars for 59p and choc buttons for 50p so bought me a couple for baking with. He came home this morning with a large slab of birthday cake and some unopened party food which will be used this week in lunch boxes.
I did some baking made mum2one scones with Stilton and red onion and some of the biscuits as well. Also made brownies with some of the mini mars bars chopped up.0 -
Love this thread
I was a bit disappointed today as it didn't turn out to be an NSD as we needed some firelighters for the wood burner. Saying that they were only £1 so if hardly broke the bank. Other than popping out to get them it's been a day in doing not much
Tea tonight is roast beef and I have roasted enough vegetables to make up a veg soup for tomorrow nights tea as well. It's surprising how far you can stretch the food budget and avoid waste.
On tonight's to do list is..
Ironing
Packed lunches for me and OH tomorrow
Clean kitchen
Hugs to all that need them and hugs for those who don't need one but would like one anyway! :grouphug:SPC9 #5070 -

I did look at that actually but my office is 16ft x 15ft with two single pane large sash windows (original so can't be replaced) - I don't think it'll beat the chill though.MSE-ing since 20070 -
Well another NSD, tomorrow is also a pretty safe bet as I will be up late tonight, so no risk of spending tomorrow. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0
