Greenhouse turned!!:D Just got to get two panes of glass, level the floor, re-lay the bricks and get the debris back in tomorrow and then start my seeds off, rehome my chitting potatoes and pot on my salad leaves on Wednesday!:j
Trip to Ald* today to get apples and salad (and some tomato seeds from somewhere) ....then no more spends for the rest of the weekI managed to get one load of washing dried on the line over the weekend too....hopefully, this week I will be able to make much better use of it to keep the electricity bill down!!

Well done on taking the first step Abby, a friend of mine uses the gambling forums on mse and says they are invaluable to her recovery.
Spent the weekend doing house things, I cleaned the carpets with a rug doctor I hired from b&q as they have 15% off with a coupon from their instore magazine. I had vouchers so 24hrs hire for the smaller machine cost £17 with 15% off, but using the vouchers it was free
Then on Sunday I spent the day pressure washing the garden out the back as its all slabs and hasn't been done in 4 years. Its like a new garden now, is so bright and non slippery! So although ive not spent anything im sure my water bill and electric for the month will be much higher! Its a yearly thing so I suppose its not too bad.

afternoon everyone
Have not posted in quite a while. Frugality is not something that has been practised that much over the last few weeks or so but I am trying to get there.
Today I called at Lidl..spent £20.96, Tesco £26.13 and I have a Adsa del arriving Thursday for approx £41. This was a well thought out weekly shop and I am pleased with this budget. This includes items like olive oil, dishwasher tabs, and a stock up of some bits bobs. Famly of 5 and few extra extra at weekend. Budget will be much lower next week. £60 approx.
So onwards and upwards. NO more shops for me this week. All the best and Abby keep going.0 -
A NSD today. Making a huge batch of chilli in my slow cooker. So will have loads of meals to keep me going through the month. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

Just had a visit from DGD - baked me a cake as a thank you for helping her to make a mask for a school project. All the materials for the mask were in my stash - cake is a Victoria Sandwich and delicious.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Finally caught up on the thread but speed-read and no time to post personally as it's almost hometime.
Congrats to whoever paid off catalogue. Well done!
Well done for admitting the gambling problem, you've taken the first step.
Loving the quotes TM (I think it is)
Hugs all round xxx0 -
Oh dear, I'm not doing very well with keeping up with this thread lately! I'm so sorry! Things have been very busy, but I had a job interview this evening and had great feedback and have been invited back for a second interview
Still being frugal! At the weekend I got my shoes for my friend's wedding, thankfully I got them from M*rks & Spencer and didn't have to pay anything for them as I'd previously won some vouchers. Lovely!!0 -
