Gas fire packed in last night so off to find someone who can service it as no way can I be without it. Toilet seat will be replaced today (I refuse to slide around another day!) luckily found a Argos voucher & they have a sale on. Need a small shop for OH milk tea sugar etc. Determined to stick to list! Got to phone council & water to query how much I owe sure Im uptodate & miss placed receipts but need to check. But first Avon to deliver & fingers crossed customers have remembered on coming so I can collect monies. Then everything can be sorted in one car trip.
Oh its just one thing after another I said to my MIL will we never get sorted...That's life was her reply. Hey ho lol0 -
Hugs to all

Hopefully having a NSD but driving the dd to nursery later so may need petrol. Going to spend the day cleaning, doing the finances, filing paperwork, doing laundry, and a light decluttering of my wardrobe. Also I'll try and figure out why I've put on 2lbs in between weighing myself before bed and this morning:huh::huh:
Have a good day all

I've been told that if you are tossing and turning at night, to get up, leave the bed and read until you start to nod off again. If you let your body toss and turn at night then it will get used to it and will think that it's okay to do that.[Deleted User] wrote:My reason/excuse is that I am just soooo tired. I haven't been sleeping properly - this started before my Christmas hols and it has cropped up again in the past week and a half. I generally wake up in the wee small hours of the morning and can't get back to sleep. I am going into work like a zombie and when I get home I just can't be bothered doing much other than watching TV. I am not sure what is causing it so not sure what to do other than make sure I get an early enough night. Going to have a night off the TV tonight and then limit it for the next week or so to see if that makes any difference. There are many other productive things I could do like my crafting.
I'm not sure if this will help, I know it's hard to leave a warm bed. I'm terrible when I've not had enough sleep, I hope you get a full night soon.LBM: NOVEMBER 2011 || debt free date:30/06/15 || The Fighting Debt Army: #442 || Frugal Living Challenge 2018 || January 2018 Grocery £1.22/£100 ||0 -
Hi everyone!
Horrible grey windy icy rain blowing day here. Had suggested to DH that we go for a walk, help his exercise for recovery and maybe lift his mood a bit as well. Hmmm don't think turning into a wet icicle will help there.
plan b. Boil up some ham I found in fridge, pasta bake for tonight and hopefully enough for school lunches tomorrow. Make soup for saturday and jobhunt.
hopefully a nsd for me.
someone mentioned about not being overdrawn. I look forward to the day when I dont use my overdraft but at the minute it is fee free so as long as I don't incur bank charges I'm happy.........for now.

Mmmm Pasta Bake, I may do that tonight also, I have ham in the fridge that needs to be used by today and some frozen bolognese and cheese that needs using up, I may very well steal your idea!
Thanks for the inspiration.
I was hoping for a NSD today also, but I bought some tobacco this morning, this will hopefully see me through til pay day, Gosh, January really is a long month...LBM: NOVEMBER 2011 || debt free date:30/06/15 || The Fighting Debt Army: #442 || Frugal Living Challenge 2018 || January 2018 Grocery £1.22/£100 ||0 -
Hi all,
TM6 - how are you feeling today? Hope you "survived" (for want of a better word) dad's birthday yesterday.
My dad died two weeks ago and it would have been his birthday on Monday gone. It's all been a bit of a whirlwind few months. I've got all those "firsts" to go through so I really feel for you.0 -
Had a strange day yesterday. I went to the dentist and didn't feel much like coming home and cooking etc.
Picked OH up from work and popped into Mr M's as I desperately needed a new pastry brush (last time I used it I was picking hairs out of teeth for days) :rotfl:
Anyway the dear lad who further reduces yellow stickers was on his way around.
Picked up : Tomato, mozzarella pepperoni pizza - £0.19p
2 pain au raisin cakes (OK naughty I know)- £0.55p
Mixed salad leaves - £0.14p.
Added tomato, parmesan (from fridge).
hey presto! meal for 2 with cakes for dessert - less than £1.00 :j
Also picked up 2 packs of onion bhajis for £0.15 which are now in freezer ready for weekend to go with homemade curry when
kids and Mini kids arrive.

Like many of us I find January dragging! Identifying with all the ups and downs. Thanks to everyone who is passing on positive vibes it really helps.:T
Going to walk into town for exercise and look round the fleamarket as a cheap outing.
Have spent £120 on food so far this month and was aiming for only £100 - it's going to be a very tight month to make up for it in February. Thank goodness February is shorter than January
January is 3/4 over. We've broken the back of the greyest month of the year :jDebt Free. Have my Van.

Also given an interview to Gingerbread about the forth coming changes to Child maintance - as apparently your going to be charged to go through the CSA - dare i say you can imagine my views as by the time my daughter was 10, we had only had £60... So if it gets used in a newspaper apparently I get some money, (fingers crossed), thou knowing my luck...
No Way! Charged to use the CSA? That is crazy! So that means many non resident parents who refuse to pay, are now not even going to get forced to pay cause many (not all) single parents struggle on a day to day/week to week/month to month basis. If they didnt, a lot of them would not be using the (shambolic) services as it is. Although, if users are being charged, do you think they would be quicker/better at enforcing instead of how slow/rubbish they are just now?Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

ham boiling with a baby onion (shrivelled) and a dessertspoonful of ground cloves. Sun thinking about shining and A$d@ are promoting their savings card saying that it is better than your average savings card with potentially a return of 5.2% interest..........Christmas 2014!!
