Other than the food colouring option :p nice idea though, any idea on where to get cheap dye? I'd like to dye some jeans back to a darker blue, as they hv got quite faded... Also hv a couple of tops that could do with refreshing.

Thanks will hv a look now - only managed 12 SB today! Kicked out of 5 surveys before they started

    :rotfl:

the dye washed out......so will be dying it purple in the washing machine hopefully with the curtains. think it might be a bit dark against my white walls but guess the dye won't be as "jet black" purple as I am imagining it.

today was alright. My lunch was vile......so had to go to the supermarket to get some mini Cornish pasties and I treated myself this cheese and tomato bread they do and used some vouchers to get things I needed, I did spend a bit much and my indulgence was a lovely candle in a jar for five pounds but that comes out my nice room budget.

    hope all is well XXXX

    can't

Cooked a vat of bolognese sauce in the sc last night. Just made 9 portion packs up and 8 portions of lasagne out of it. It took a kg of lamb/mutton mince with lentils and veg so about a fiver for 17 portions - 29p a portion :j I picked up a sack of onions, possibly about 15 lb in weight for £1.99 from the asian supermarket. Sent some to Dd, cooked and froze a lot of portions, used them for tea last few days and there still seems to be the same amount  Going to dehydrate some tomorrow then see where I am upto.

Filled my seed sprouter today so I have something nice to go with salads but had all the seeds in so no cost. Just need potatoes tomorrow and a trip to the post office to send off the book I sold. After that will do some pics for fleabay including an old Roberts radio thats been hanging about so should do ok if I cross my fingers.

Nat glad your daughter is safe - what a worry.

I went nuts!! I was so angry at him but at least she got back safe and now shes in another hotel that I paid for for her for the next 3 weeks until her next flight. I spoke to her today and she told me that she went for a walk to the town and he walked past and completely ignored her!! Shes heard on the grapevine(facebook!) that hes going back to Oz in 2 days and hes told everyone that they've separated...before he even told her! What a jerk.

At times like this im so glad im single :D 2.5yrs and counting :D:D

Oh thank God you didn't think I was out of order.

Upgrading the piece of crap comment to various swear words I can't use here.

    horrid foul little idiot!

hope she stays away from him. am so angry on your behalf! And I too am glad I am single.

I dont know if this is any good for anyone else - but our local cinema chain (Cineworld) has a new promotion on a Thursday - "Take 2"

A film thats been out for a while - you can have the normal price ticket (£7 for an adult) or you book the take ticket - £11.10 (or £10 if you sign up to cineworld site for free) that gives entry for 2 adults, 2 small drinks and small pop corn - all in for the £10 price. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Checked out my bank account today - not something I usually look forward to - and was really pleased as much more in there than there usually is this time of the month. I'm on track to have extra for debt repayment at the end of the month.

Same here! Expecting to have to put aside a little more this month for household bills as I have just finished setting up all of the Direct Debits and have to figure our where that leaves us with pay dates/out goings and where we can do our food shopping during the month, this is a little awkward as the OH is on weekly pay and I'm on monthly.

Hoping to have an extra £200 to pay towards debt this month due to frugalling, I'm feeling so inspired, hoping to make this a way of life!

If you are dyeing cotton, you would be better off using a dylon dye in the machine, you can get procion (for plant fibres) dyes off eB@y, but would need to buy the fixative and salt separately, so I'd stick with the ready made mix ie; dylon.

On the food colouring note, you can use this to dye wools and silks on the stove, using a white vinegar and water solution and heat to fix, or in the microwave.
