You can still give them in the charity bags that come through your door. The charity is paid on weight, not quality. Any clothing that the purchaser deems not fit for resale is shredded for rags or pet bedding etc.

Wear them in the garden!
Or read the small print on the donation sacks that come through the door and look for ones that guarantee to pay a certain amount per tonne to charity.
I save all the good stuff and donate it directly to local charity shops so they get the full value of it.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Our local recycling centre now has a dedicated bin for textiles. Oxfam seem happy to take almost anything.0
