Hi MSE
Ive just been charged £69 for informing my car insurance firm that ive ive lost my job.
If I start work through agencies or temporary work? (a week or few days here and there) I cant pay £69 every time i change job, it would be pointless me working.
Does anyone know a way around this?

What is your contractual situation? Are you not a constant employee of the agency on a 0 hour contract and so just brought in when needed? In which case your job doesnt change each time, just the client your doing the work for does0

I contacted Esure today and they confirmed that if i do different jobs within a recruitment agency then i will need to tell them and be charged the £69 fee.
Trouble is ive joined some recruitment agencies and they only offer a day or 2 here and there. I am IT professional but i could be doing admin, delivery driving etc. There are no jobs in South wales at the moment to apply for!
Ill just have to not tell them and hope they dont catch me out.0 -
Delivery driving in your own car?
If so it would be very wise to advise the insurers of that. If you get involved in a smash with a load of parcels on the backseat you could find yourself in far more than £69 worth of trouble.0
