£10 for 4 boys too little?

Duchy, juliehalluk is spam - a newbie, with 12 identical posts naming a website. And yes, you're right, the petrol stations and corner shops do sell batteries on Christmas Day. They may be a bit more expensive, but people still have time to buy their batteries before then from known sources.0

Costco are good for batteries
I'd go for a joint tin of celebrations or roses or something I think they are £5 in Tesco at the moment you could get two tins rather than giving them £2.50 each.

Another vote for the big tin of Celebrations/Heroes/Haribo to share between the boys.
I'd probably get a plant or bowl of hyacinths for the old lady, or box of chocs (personally, I'm always chuffed to bits with a box of Ferrero Rocher even though they're supposedly a bit naff!).0 -

I love those!!! Especially big boxes with 4 different kinds (white, gold, dark and green wraps - those ones). Last year, I think, my husband took part in secret Santa at his work and he needed a gift for a lady. And I've got one for him - it was huge promotion in Debenhams, like 40% - for £7. He made such a fuss!!! "Such a common thing, nuching oroginal..." and a lot of other words with that. I wish I had gifts like that!!! Anyway, I enjoyed that box - it was extra one for me from myself:j
