which Landlord and Tenant Act do we use in this country is it the 1985 one

There are many (many many) Acts that relate to tenancy law in England and Wales (assuming that's what you mean by "this country") ........
As a regular poster, you'll have seen my frequent links to my post providing advice to new landlords.
That contains links to some (not all) of those Acts.
We 'use' each of them for different aspects of tenancy or property-related law.0 -
