Faulty Xbox 360

I bought a pre-owned Xbox 360 online from Game at the beginning of September. It came with a game and I paid £89.99. It was for my 11 year old's birthday and the game was an 18 rated one but it was the cheapest price I had found for the console. I sold the game as I don't let my son play 18 rated games.

The console has started crashing and I need to send Game an email about it, but on their returns section it says all items in a bundle must be returned. The console is listed on the invoice as £80 and the game at £9.99. Would I be able to return it as it is as it's listed individually or do I need to buy the game again in order to send it back?

Refund is not the only option. There is also repair, replacement and reduction of price (to account for diminished value).

So even if the game wasn't listed separately, a court would likely find that reducing the refund to account for this would be reasonable.

With it listed separately under different item codes, you may be fine though. Contact them first and if you have any problems, let us know and we'll try advise of different action you can take.
