    Congratulations!

You should be very proud of yourself!

I wonder how many DFWs go on to become MFWs when they pay off the last of the debts.

It feels really strange because I don't really believe it. We're having friends round tonight so that will be a nice way to celebrate. If anything, I feel like spending money even less now as I don't want to get back in debt.

Our next aim is to overpay on the mortgage so I guess we'll be throwing spare money at that now as it's quite big. We're not buying anything on credit again unless we have the cash to pay it off at the end of the month.

Right, going to cancel my car insurance now, that'll save another £26 a month!

Hi again, Make sure you get into the Mortgage Free Wannabe Forum now as it looks like you are ready for the next challange! Please make sure you stay around though as your one of those people who I remember seeing post for as long as Ive been a member ;)

Muststop spending - this time round we've paid about £8000 in just over a year. We've done it by selling everything that we could including my car, stopping gym membership, doing a spending diary etc. We've paid off credit cards in the past only for them to mount up again as we were still overspending. This time round, and with the help of this site, we've learnt to budget and we never buy anything unless we've had a cooling off period first. I'm sure we're not going to be perfect but we're determined not to get in debt again.

Crown - I certainly won't be leaving this site as it keeps me on the straight and narrow but it's nice to know i'm still wanted around! xx

We've just paid off the last credit card. It feels very strange but then I guess it'll take a while to sink in. I had to run to the bank before it shut as my other half had the car. It's going to take a bit of getting used to not just having a car to jump into but I didn't use it that much and at least i'll get fitter.

Thanks for everyone's support on here xx

    WOOOHOOOO!!! Brilliant! Well done!!! :j:beer:
